Here are some tips to help you learn how to play a musical instrument fast.

1. Choose an instrument
There’s a musical instrument for everyone; you need to find the one that’s perfect for you. Do your research on different instruments from strings to keyboards, drums, flutes, etc. Also, look into the cost of maintenance and try to figure out if it will be convenient for you to use. Also, try to find out all that goes into learning the instrument, check for the slowest, and fastest possible time to learn the instrument.
It is essential to do this to have a fair idea of all that goes into learning one or more instruments before choosing the one that you think would be best for you.
When you think you know the instrument you would like to play, go to a good music store to try it out before purchasing it.
2.  Learn the fundamentals
The first step to learning any instrument is to start with the fundamentals. Almost everything learned is built on fundamental knowledge, so you must ensure that you are conversant with the basics. Be patient, and don’t try to move ahead of yourself.
Most times, when you try to rush things or take an easy way out in learning an instrument, you will end up giving up at some point. It would help if you remembered to practice as often as possible, you can start by practicing 30 minutes every day and then build up from there. Your ability to get better at something will always depend on how much time and effort you put into learning that skill. You will notice that as you practice daily, it will become more comfortable, and you will become more used to the instrument.
You can also practice in front of people to get moral support, encouragement, and approval on your progress.
5. Have Fun!
Try to play different songs and even sing along, play games with your instrument, and have fun. It will be hard to love and learn an instrument if you see it as a burden or chore.
