2. GO OUT ON DATES

You can’t be romantic without going out on dates. Plan to go on dates as often as possible. Communicate with your partner to know the places they would love to visit. Gifts aren’t only given on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. You can give your significant other a lovely gift to show them that you love and appreciate their presence. It will be a good idea to consider the things your partner likes before going ahead to purchase the gift. Surprise your lover with breakfast in bed or a relaxing massage. 4.  RANDOM PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION IS ALLOWED

A great way to show your lover that you are romantic is to engage in some PDA. Hold hands in public sometimes, hug your partner, and a peck to show them that you don’t mind showing the world that you love them. Everyone likes to be shown off from time to time, so be very deliberate about it.  Research has proven that as little as a 20-second hug may seem, it is enough to raise oxytocin levels, and Oxytocin is the hormone that must be released amongst lovers as often as possible.

5. WRITE LOVE NOTES

The love notes do not necessarily have to be a ten stanza poem; it can just be some simple words to remind your partner that you love them. A regular I miss you, I’ve been thinking about you, and I am so glad I met you, It can go a long way to make your partner feel more loved and valued. You can send it as a text, leave it with breakfast in bed before going to work, or even email it! The focus is to keep your love life active. True love requires deliberate effort.

6. GIVE YOUR PARTNER COMPLIMENTS

Learn to give your partner compliments as often as possible. You can complement your boyfriend on how your boyfriend looks when he gets a new haircut or compliment the taste of your girlfriend’s food and how delicious it tastes. Be encouraging and supportive. Compliment your partner’s efforts in getting better at various aspects of life.
