Necessary Requirements

These are the necessary documents required for a Nigerian who wishes to travel to Norway for Business purposes.

1. The applicant is to provide the cover letter sent to his or her e-mail after completing the booking in the Application Portal.
2. An international Passport that is valid for not less than 3 months after the date intended for departure from the Schengen area. The passport must have not less than two (2) blank pages and it is required that the passport was issued within the past ten (10) years. Applicants are also advised to submit previous passports with former visas and stamps.
3. Traveling medical insurance that can cover the entire stay in the Schengen area. If you are a Nigerian citizen who applies at the Norwegian Embassy in Abuja the insurance must be gotten from an Insurance company that is accepted for visa applications by the Norwegian Embassy.
4. One passport photograph not older than 6 months with a bright background.
5. Flight ticket or schedules indicating the date of entry and exit from Norway.
6. The past three (3) payslips.
7. Recent personal bank statement showing balance over the last three (3) months as one of the proofs of financial sustainability.
8. Document about the regular income generated by the property, if necessary.
9. A written invitation that proves the inviting company is accepting financial responsibility with regard to the travel costs and stay. In the case of small companies/businesses, the invitation must state the company registration number.
10. Proof of hotel reservation or any other accommodation for the whole duration of the intended stay.
11. For Nigerian applicants who do not reside in Nigeria, an invitation letter from the company based in Norway/Member State of destination. The letter should contain important personal information of the invited person, clearly state the reason for the visit and duration of stay, stating the schedule for the meetings in Norway, and explaining the business relationship.
12. Letter of introduction from employer stating position and duration of service, or evidence of ownership if you are self-employed.
13. Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), Certificate of Business Incorporation (certificate of registration of a company or business) and Article of Memorandum.
14. Evidence of commercial activities in your country of origin and recent business contacts.
15. Proof of the continuation of the commercial relationship with the company that invites (contracts, bills, commercial correspondence, etc.), if necessary.
16. If this is your first journey to the Schengen area, the following documents proving relations to your home country is required:
    1. Marriage certificate
    2. Child’s birth certificates
    3. A document that clearly explains the regular income generated by the property
    4. Payslips from the last three (3) days.
    5. A recent personal bank statement that shows the balance over the last three (3) months.

For participants in conferences, fairs, seminars, congresses, etc. You are to provide the documents below:

1. An invitation from a company or a legitimate body to partake in the events connected with trade, industry, or work.
2. Proof of registration and entry tickets for events, if necessary.
3. Other documents that prove the existence of trade or work relations.
